    • 6 Entries are required for full credit
Opening:
1. After returning the Brushstrokes packet, turn to page 26.

  • Read and mark-up the text
  • Define "Action Verbs" near the heading
2. Read the instruction for Activity 5.

Work Period:

3. Read the activity aloud, then consider powerful verbs that replace the weak and "to be" verbs.
  • Use a thesaurus
4. Locate other options for the word ran on page 28.  

Sample Expository Writing Prompt:
5. What is our process for approaching a prompt?

6. Attack the prompt by rewriting the prompt as a question
