PARKING LOT:  WHO'S HELPING?

Opening:
1. Create small groups and discuss the Article of the Week.

Work Period:
2. "Adjectives Out-of-Order" Work:
Share your sentence strip - what makes it interesting and vivid?

  • Dog Sentence
  • Hammock Sentence
  • Narrative Revision Sentence


3. Put it all together...

  • take a notecard
  • find an image in the room
  • create a brushstroke filled piece of action...don't limit yourself to one sentence.
USE ACTIVE, VIVID VERBS

4. Share them aloud, then post them up next to the image.


Closing:


5. Hand out Drama of the Week (make-up a low Article of the Week grade from the 3rd 9 Weeks)

6. Reminder: Annotated Bibliography and 24 Entries due ONE WEEK after you come back. (3/24)

7. Extra Credit Opportunities for Break:

  • Independent Reading (make-up grade)

  • Rewrite an essay from the Simulation (make-up one of the co-creation grades from February)
