Work Period:

3. Model using "Sample Prompt"

  • Read the Prompt
  • Circle the Key Verbs in the prompts: What you have to do.
  • Underline the Nouns: What you have to do it to
  • Create a T-Chart: Prioritize tasks and create a check-list for what you have to do to ensure you've completed the entire writing task.


Prewriting:
4. Answer 1-3 on page 29…and discuss

5. Review the "Tips for Timed Writing" on pages 29-30 again - explaining pace on a timed writing task.


Closing:

6. Use the remainder of the period to

  • read the prompt on page 30
  • address all aspects of the prompt (See Step 3 on this agenda)
