Opening:
1. With your partner, review and fill in the Plot Diagram on page 82 (one copy per group)


Work Period:
2. After you've finalized your Plot, draft your myth so that it includes the following:
  • An opening or lead that hooks the reader
  • An event retold vividly
  • Details and thorough descriptions of characters and settings
  • The characters' response to the event, including their feelings and thoughts
  • Effective and purposeful dialogue
  • A reflection on the lesson learned or significance of the experience.
3. Provide illustrations that capture the key parts of your myth and that add a visual layer to your story
  • draw and color the illustrations yourself
  • locate and print appropriate images online or in magazines

Closing:
4. Plan with your partner to ensure that your group is ready for the revision phase tomorrow.
