3. Review the Scoring Rubric for STAAR.

  • What are your essay's strengths and weaknesses?
  • What final revisions and edits need to be made?

4. What sort of transitions could be used to ensure the essay flows smoothly and is easy for a reader to follow? (see page 48 in the Writing Workshop packet) 

5. Using your notes, ideas and final revisions and edits, create a final draft version of the essay with a partner.
