Opening:
1. Review your linear array in your small groups.  
  • discuss, question, and critique the arrangement you observe
2. Place your assigned words on the board once you are close to agreement.

3. Place all new/additional tone words into the list in your journal.

Work Period:
4. Writing Topic:
  • A family vacation
5. In your small group, brainstorm words and phrases you can use in a narrative written assignment to portray the tone I assign you.
  • Share ONE piece of loose-leaf paper.

6. Convey the assigned tone in a co-created written narrative.  

Closing:
7. Highlight all the words and phrases you used to convey the tone and turn it in to Mr. Busse - with your names on the paper.
