1. Article of the Week.
2. Spelling Bee.
3. Grades and Sticker Update  

Work Period:
4. Working in teams, work through the FIVE POEMS on pages 287-291.

  • Predict/Make Notes about the TITLE of each of the five poems.
5. Choose ONE of the poems and use the TP-CASTT (page 292) to analyze the poem.
  • Mark the text when paraphrasing, analyzing the CONNOTATIONS of certain words, noticing the ATTITUDE, designating any SHIFTS that occur, etc.


Closing:

6. Prepare your Reading Logs for Monday.
